BAGHDAD, May 16, 2025 – Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdisalam Omer Hadliye, held high-level bilateral meetings today with his counterparts from Djibouti and Algeria on the sidelines of the Arab League summit in Baghdad.
The talks, described as productive and forward-looking, focused on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in the areas of politics, security, economy, and social development.
Both Algeria and Djibouti reaffirmed their support for Somalia’s efforts towards national stability and progress.
“These discussions reflect our shared commitment to deepening the bonds of brotherhood and strategic cooperation between our nations,” Minister Abdisalam said following the meetings.
The engagements underscore Somalia’s active diplomatic outreach within the Arab League framework and highlight growing regional consensus on supporting Somalia’s state-building initiatives.
