MOGADISHU – Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre on Saturday received the Arab League envoy to Somalia, Abdalla Al-Qutaybi, at his office in Mogadishu to discuss strengthening cooperation between Somalia and member states of the Arab League in the areas of politics, economy, and security, the OPM said.
During the meeting, Barre highlighted the progress made by the Somali government in political reforms, economic development, and security stabilization.
He also expressed appreciation for the Arab League’s continued support and its role in fostering collaboration with the Somali government and people.
For his part, Envoy Al-Qutaybi said a high-level delegation from the Arab League is expected to visit Somalia soon to implement development projects.
He praised Somalia’s active role in promoting cooperation among Arab League member states.
The meeting underscored the growing ties between Somalia and the Arab League as both sides work to strengthen long-term strategic partnerships.
