ALGIERS – Somalia’s Interior Minister Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh held talks with his Algerian counterpart Said Sayoud during an official visit to Algeria focused on boosting bilateral ties and expanding cooperation on security and counterterrorism.
The meeting was attended by Algeria’s National Security Chief Badaawi, Algeria’s newly appointed ambassador to Somalia Mohamed Alim, and Somalia’s ambassador to Algeria Yusuf Ahmed Hassan.
Discussions centered on strengthening collaboration in security, counterterrorism, reconciliation, stability, local governance and institutional development.
Both sides reaffirmed the historic relationship between Somalia and Algeria and expressed commitment to enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise to support peace, stability and state-building efforts in both countries.
