ST. PAUL — Today, U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar won the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party nomination in her reelection to represent Congressional District 5.
“Minnesota’s fifth congressional district turned out to support Congresswoman Ilhan Omar resoundingly,” said DFL Party Chair Richard Carlbom. “Congresswoman Omar believes, like Minnesotans, that everyone deserves an equal shot at the American dream.
Folks showed up today because they believe in what she’s fighting for and because she won’t back down from fighting the Trump administration and protecting Minnesotans.”
