KISMAYO [SMN] – In Kismayo, the capital of the Lower Jubba region, the election of members of the House of the People was held today, especially in the constituencies where the election is taking place.
South West Transport Minister Hassan Hussein Mohamed (Elay) won the first seat in the by-elections scheduled for three seats.
According to the Jubbaland Electoral Commission, Hassan Eelay received 74 votes, while his rival Abdirahman Moalim Hussein received 21 votes, and also lost 5 votes.
This seat is one of the seats previously exchanged between the presidents of Jubbaland and Southwest, following talks in Kismayo.
