MOGADISHU, Somalia – The Federal Minister for Interior, Reconciliation, and Federalism of Somalia, Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh, met with the leaders of Hirshabelle, Southwest, and Galmudug to discuss state affairs and collaboration between federal and state institutions.
In a series of high-profile meetings, the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation of the Federal Government of Somalia, Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh, engaged in discussions with the presidents of Somalia’s Hirshabelle, Southwest, and Galmudug states.
The meetings focused on the current state of affairs within each state, the priorities of the respective state governments, and the strengthening of collaboration between federal and state institutions.
Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh first met with Ali Abdullahi Hussein (Gudlawe), the President of Somalia’s Hirshabelle State. The meeting was aimed at receiving a briefing on the current affairs of the state and exploring avenues for enhanced cooperation between the federal and state institutions.
The discussions were productive, with both parties expressing a commitment to working closely together to address the needs and priorities of the people of Hirshabelle State.
The Minister also met with Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed (Laftagareen), the President of the Southwest State of Somalia. During the meeting, President Mohamed provided an update on the work and priorities of the state, with a particular focus on security, economic development, and social welfare.
Minister Ali Hosh and President Mohamed discussed ways to further enhance the partnership between the federal and state governments in these areas, to improve the lives of the people of the Southwest State.
In addition, Minister Ali Hosh met with Ahmed Abdi Karite Qoorqoor, the President of the Galmudug State of Somalia. The meeting served as an opportunity for President Qoorqoor to brief the Minister on the ongoing situation in the state, including challenges and recent achievements.
The discussion underscored the importance of continued collaboration between the federal and state governments in addressing security issues, promoting economic growth, and ensuring the provision of essential services to the people of Galmudug State.
