BAIDOA [SMN] – The Somali National Army (SNA) has taken control of key areas in the Bay region from Al-Shabaab militants during an operation carried out in the past few hours.
The commander of the 60th Division of the SNA, Adow Mohamed Abdi said they destroyed a courthouse in Moodo-Modo area and took control of it.
The troops captured Al-Shabaab bases in Bulo-Fulay, Idale Rama Adooy and Moodo-Moodo.
The troops will continue hunting down Al-Shabaab as they liberate the Al-Shabaab-held locations in the Bay region of the South West State of Somalia, per Abdi.
