ISTANBUL [SMN] – Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdisaid Muse Ali held a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu in Istanbul on Wednesday.
They met on the sidelines of the 3rd Turkey-Africa Partnership Summit due to kick off in Istanbul on Friday and will rage on until Dec 18.
“I thanked Turkey for their unwavering support to Somaia and we agreed to intensify our bilateral partnership in areas of security cooperation and economic development.” The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Mr. Abdisaid Muse Ali, said on Thursday in an official publication.
Somali President Farmajo will attend the Turkey-Africa forum in Istanbul along with 13 other heads of state. Ankara enjoys close ties with Mogadishu since 2011.
