MOGADISHU [SMN] – The Somali military court sentenced four members of the army to death for killing and robbery in Dolow district in Gedo region under Jubaland state.
Bukhari Ahmed Mohamud of Nisa and Salmaan Ibrahim Shire will face the firing squad while Ahmed Hussein Elmi was sentenced to three years in prison and Sharmake Muhumed Ali was sentenced to one year in prison.
Major Mohamed Amin who announced the verdict, said that the court, after seeing the evidence, had handed down the sentence and gave them 30 days to appeal the verdict.
