DUBROVNIK, Croatia — Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdisalam Ali (Dhaay), held bilateral talks with the World Health Organization’s Regional Director for Europe, Dr. Hans Henri P. Kluge, on the sidelines of the Dubrovnik Forum, focusing on strengthening cooperation in the country’s health sector.
The meeting centered on expanding collaboration between Somalia and the WHO to support the Horn of Africa nation’s priorities for improving healthcare services and strengthening its public health system, according to the Somali foreign ministry.
The two sides also discussed broadening technical cooperation and advancing shared public health goals through closer institutional partnership.
Both officials reaffirmed their commitment to continuing joint efforts aimed at reinforcing Somalia’s healthcare system and improving access to quality health services across the country.
