Somalia’s foreign minister sacked after after his assumed office

MOGADISHU [SMN] – Somalia’s Prime Minister Mohamed Roble sacked Foreign Affairs Minister Mohamed Abdirizak on Saturday and replaced him with Abdisaid Muse, who served as chief of staff for Presidency.

The dismissal came hours after the Foreign Affairs minister has celebrated his first year in office. He tweeted that the move was shocking and surprising to him.

The office of the PM didn’t mention the reason behind the sacking of the top diplomat.
