MOGADISHU, Somalia – Shoch after a Somali mother and two girls died after the collapse of an eight-story building collapsed on their home in Howlwadaag district of Mogadishu.
The new building collapsed on top of another four-story building, and as a result, three family members lost their lives, according to the emergency teams from the local Government.
The officials of the Banadir region have confirmed that they have recovered the bodies of three people, and arrested three engineers who built the collapsed residential complex.
“This tragic incident happened when the eight-story building that was under construction collapsed on another four-story building. We managed to get two people out of the house alive,” said a member of the rescue team.
The emergency team blamed the contractor for the collapse of the building, saying that there were many mistakes in the construction process.
