The first two ships with Russian wheat went to Somalia and Burkina Faso

OREANDA-NEWS The first two wheat ships for Somalia and Burkina Faso have left Russia, Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev said during a visit to the department’s stand at the Russia Exhibition and Forum.

 

“The first two ships, 25 thousand tons each, in the direction of Somalia and Burkina Faso have already left Russian ports, we expect them to arrive at their destinations in late November – early December of this year,” he said.

Ships with wheat for the CAR, Zimbabwe, Mali, and Eritrea will be sent before the end of the year.

Patrushev recalled that in total, up to 200 thousand tons of Russian wheat will be sent to Africa free of charge by the end of the year.
