AMMAN — The Jordanian government has strongly condemned Israel’s recent decision to recognize Somaliland, describing it as a clear violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, as well as an infringement on the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

In a statement, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry reaffirmed its steadfast support for Somalia, emphasizing the importance of respecting the independence of nations, safeguarding their territorial integrity, and upholding the principles of international law.

Jordan called on the international community to prevent any unilateral actions that could undermine peace, stability, and security in the Horn of Africa region.
