Somali Army Chief Inspects Maslah Military Base

MOGADISHU — Somali National Army Commander Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Mohamed Mahmoud on Saturday conducted an inspection visit to the Maslah military base in Mogadishu to assess the command’s operational readiness and ongoing activities.

 

The visit focused on evaluating the overall condition of the base, the performance of troops stationed there, and their level of preparedness, according to a statement from the military.

The army chief also reviewed existing operational needs and plans aimed at improving the quality of military operations, enhancing troop capabilities, and strengthening overall efficiency.

Maj. Gen. Ibrahim was received by Col. Abdullahi Osman Jimcaal, commander of the Somali National Army’s 73rd Military Police Brigade, who briefed him on the base’s overall situation, ongoing activities, and achievements in carrying out the unit’s responsibilities.
