NAIROBI, Kenya – The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, met with his Djibouti counterpart, Ismail Omar Guelleh, in Nairobi, Kenya’s capital on Wednesday.
The two presidents discussed cooperation on the issues affecting the two countries’ ties, including the security and maintaining the stability of the Horn of Africa region.
Meanwhile, the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud held a meeting with his Kenyan counterpart William Ruto at the Presidential Palace.
The two leaders are taking part in the United Nations Conference on Climate Change and Development Goals at the continental level.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who left yesterday for Nairobi, Kenya, is participating in the United Nations Environment Conference (UNEA).
This year’s theme of the conference, which is based in Nairobi, Kenya, is “Effective, inclusive and sustainable multifaceted actions to address climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution.” ”
The President of Somalia will hold bilateral meetings with regional leaders and other heads of delegations to strengthen relations and explore opportunities for cooperation on environmental issues.
