KISMAYO [SMN] – Jubbaland today has begun holding elections for seats in the Somali Parliament.
The election for the six seats took place in Kismayo, the capital of the Lower Jubba region.
The Jubbaland Electoral Commission said the move was part of the implementation of a recent election agreement reached in Mogadishu.
The seats to be held are:
1: Hop107 by Hawa Mohamed Adan.
2: Hop114 by Abdulkadir Mohamed Osman,
3: Hop120 by Abdikadir Sheikh Ali Ibrahim (Baghdadi)
4: Hop111 by Mohamed Nur Iftin Shambara.
5: Hop028 by Abdullahi Mohamed Adan Sha’ir
6: Hop093 by former Minister of Religion & Endowments Sheikh Nur Mohamed Hassan.
