Southwest State elects seven MPs in Barawe city

MOGADISHU [SMN] – The election of six seats in Somalia’s 11th parliament has been held in Barawe, the capital of the southwestern state of Somalia on Thursday.

The winners are Ali Mohamed Sheikh (Bagadi), Mohamed Yusuf, Abdifatah Abdullahi Araye, Aweys Hussein Maalim, Jawahir Adawe Abdi and Abdulkadir Abdirahman Dhuure.

In Barawe, the second constituency in Southwest state saw the election of 13 MPs since yesterday that coupled with the Al-Shabaab mortar attack which killed at least 4 civilians.
