MOGADISHU [SMN] – UN envoy James Swan today congratulated the newly elected Speaker of the House of the People of Somalia Sheikh Adan Madobe on his election.
James Swan praised the efforts by the speaker in holding the presidential election on the scheduled time, May 17.
The meeting comes as Somalia’s presidential election is about to take place next week after the MPs elected new leadership for both houses last month during the Ramadan.
