MOGADISHU, Somalia – In a significant move to enhance the security of the capital city, a high-level security meeting was recently convened in Mogadishu, the Somali capital.

Chaired by General Sulub Ahmed Firin, the Commander of the Somali Police Force, and Yusuf Madale, the Mayor of Mogadishu, the meeting focused on strengthening the security of Mogadishu and holding individuals accountable for the city’s safety.

The meeting was attended by key figures such as the Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), Abdullahi Mohamed Ali (Sanbaloolshe), police force representatives, district commissioners, and other government officials.

The gathering comes on the heels of a meeting held by the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia with the Somali Police, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace in the capital.

The officials also agreed to implement a system of accountability, where individuals responsible for maintaining the city’s security will be held responsible for any lapses. This move is expected to motivate security personnel to perform their duties more diligently and effectively.

Governor Yusuf Hussein Jim’ale highlighted the importance of community engagement in maintaining peace and security. He called on the residents of Mogadishu to cooperate with the security forces and report any suspicious activities.
