17.10.2026: Ayan Abukar Ali is appealing to the public for help in finding the father of her two children, Abdihakin Ahmed Mohamed, whom she says has been missing since March 2016. That was the last time his family heard from him.
Nearly 10 years have passed and his family still has no idea where he is or whether he is alive or deceased.
Over the years, the family has searched for him in different parts of Somalia, particularly in Mogadishu and Lower Shabelle, Middle Shabelle and Galgaduud regions. They have yet to receive any information about his whereabouts despite their efforts.
Mohamed is the father of two children, a son, Abdirisak Abdihakin Ahmed Mohamed, and a daughter, Atiko Abdihakin Ahmed Mohamed.
Unfortunately, the family does not have any photographs of him to help with the search.
His family is now asking anyone who may know him, have seen him or have any information that could help locate him to come forward by contacting Shabelle Media at info@shabellemedia.com
