Mogadishu, July 12, 2025 — The Deputy Speaker of Somalia’s Upper House, Senator Abdullahi Ali Hirsi (Timacadde), the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, MP Ali Yusuf Ali (Ali Hoosh), and the Minister of Energy and Water, Abdullahi Bidhaan Warsame, held a key meeting on Saturday with traditional leaders from the SSC-Khaatumo region.
The meeting focused on finalising the administration of SSC-Khaatumo and discussed the critical role of traditional leadership in promoting peace, social cohesion, and safeguarding the unity of the region.
Officials and elders emphasised the importance of strengthened cooperation to accelerate peacebuilding efforts and improve governance in SSC-Khaatumo.
This gathering forms part of the federal government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen regional administrations and foster national unity across Somalia.
