Somali president meets with Ethiopian PM in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has conferred with President Ismail Omar Guelleh of Djibouti and President Hassan Sheikh Mohamed of Somalia on the sidelines of the Saudi-Africa Summit.

 

The PM wrote, “On the sidelines of the Saudi-Africa Summit I have conferred with my brothers President Ismail Omar Guelleh of Djibouti and President Hassan Sheikh Mohamed of Somalia on bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.”

The premier and his delegation arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to participate in the first Saudi-Africa Summit today.

Discussions at the first Saudi-Africa Summit will revolve around supporting joint action, enhancing political coordination, and addressing regional security threats, it was learned.

The summit is also expected to facilitate economic transformation through research and local development of new energy solutions, all while bolstering cross-sectoral investment cooperation.
