The meeting took place during Mohamud’s visit to Istanbul, where he is attending an international justice conference, according to information released by the Somali government.
The two ministers discussed cooperation in the justice system, criminal investigation, legal education and the modernisation of judicial institutions through the use of modern technology.
They also explored ways to improve the knowledge and professional skills of justice sector personnel and expand the exchange of expertise and experience between Somalia and Turkey.
The discussions were part of broader efforts to strengthen bilateral relations, particularly in improving justice services and enhancing the capacity and performance of judicial institutions.
Both sides stressed the importance of expanding cooperation to support the development of their justice systems and strengthen institutions responsible for delivering justice.
